COPE’s new Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers: background, issues, and evolution

COPE (the Committee on Publication Ethics) provides advice to editors and publishers on all aspects of publication ethics. To help fulfil that remit, it produces a number of guidelines that are freely available on its website http:// publicationethics.org/. On 22 March 2013, COPE published its most recent set, Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers, launching them at the annual European Seminar in London.
